Northampton Primary Academy Trust (NPAT) is a vibrant Trust comprising 11 schools, 4,500 students and 750 staff across Northampton Town.
The Trust uses a range of Microsoft 365 Education products, including OneNote, Teams, Sway, Skype for Business, OneDrive, SharePoint and Windows 10 to provide a consistent experience for Teachers and drive better outcomes for children.
Julia Kedwards OBE, CEO of NPAT explains, “All of the resources, time savings and teaching strategies that we use, we do to enrich children. Microsoft is part of that and we’ve been really, really impressed with Office 365.”
Key outcomes include:
• Consistency across the Trust – “The Microsoft 365 package is so simple to use and it’s so intuitive in how you use it. We can do things one way across the whole Trust rather than 11 different ways for the 11 different schools that we’ve got.” Ian Sharp, Chief Operations Officer, NPAT
• Working more efficiently – “Everybody is fully aware of what’s going on; you can access Office 365 and see curriculum monitoring, what children are doing and it’s had a positive impact on working more effectively.” Marta Varilone, Head of School, Western Favell Primary School, NPAT
• Empowering children – “Microsoft is really good at giving us new technology and keeping the children excited and keeping them up to date with things. You see them proud of what they’ve achieved. Being able to do that is amazing.” Kathryn Bird, Year 2 Teacher, Western Favell Primary School, NPAT
Kedwards summarises her experience, saying, “Schools that have been with us for a long time are solidly good and the school that we sponsored 18 months ago have done really, really well and we’ve seen a real improvement as they move up the league table.”
